One of my disconnected Yocum families has been connected, it seems! Joseph Yocum, and wife, Matilda Gibson Yocum's daughter, Margaret, seems to be the Margaret Unknown I had as the wife of George Mitchell Schwyhart. Their son, James Garfield Schwyhart married Florence Burris, the daughter of Newton and Margaret Melissa Ellen Carey. Margaret Carey is one of the Carey familiy that also connect to my Moore and Philibert families, and who knows what others. I can get confused on all the family intermarriages, but hey, it is fun anyway! Another connection of Matilda Gibson Yocum, is that her sister, Sarah, married a younger brother, Asa Fields, of my husbands' GG-grandfather, Abraham Fields! I am still plugging away on some of the other Yocum/Yoachum families that keep popping up in other families. The Gibson family came to Washington Co. AR from VA, and several family members went north to Springfield, MO at the time of the Rebellion. Also, several of Abraham Fields' brothers also came into NW AR. Since I grew up in Springfield, and live in NW AR, I am smack dab in the middle of this whole bunch! Wilma
