    1. Re: MOSTONE-D Digest V06 #80 William Nicks Anderson
    2. DR. William Nicks Anderson, sub agent for the Mercer Colony west of the Trinity arrived in Texas 1845. He pat 156 acres 1854. He was born in Tenn. 1806 died in Navarro Feb. 5.1855 (shot and killed by William Love) It is said he was the son of Thomas Jefferson and Thankful Nicks Anderson. Information from the book "Old Northwest Texas" My Meeks family were in Nararro, Pala Pinto and Milam County, Texas during this time period. I have not been able to find a connection to this Anderson family with the Stone County Family. Some of the Anderson Children above from Nararro were first cousins to outlaw John Wesley Hardin. William Nicks Anderson may have married twice. His wife in 1850 was Susanna Louise, nee Dixon, daughter of William Dixon. Thank you,Glynda
