I am researching Joseph "Joe" and Nancy Rodgers (Rogers) Lassiter. I have been told that Joe was a blacksmith in the 1860 census with Nancy and their daughter Purity Angeline in Lawrence County, Mo. That he was dead and she was living in Stone County, Mo. It is possible she went to Stone County after his death because she had family there. I was told that Joe may have been killed in the civil war; but I do not know that. I am blocked on this family and I wanted to see if anyone out there has any info that could help me out.
