There is a lot of us who helped Transcribe, some of the pages were hard to determine what the letters were. Im helping with the new one and so fare its harder to read then the Death Index. I found My husbands grand father by searching names he had been transcribed in the wrong county.Also Iv discoved that they spelled in a lot of different ways. Yes, I know what you mean. I also helped transcribe and it was difficult on some to determine what the name was ect..... I am sure we all did our best. And it certainly does help to search the death index in different was to find our ancestores becasue of the different spellings or transcibing. I am so excited about the index..
