    1. Re: [MOSTONE-L] HILTON-Help needed
    2. Linda, I'll put in my 2 cents. Look for a break in the lines. In a message dated 5/1/2000 5:39:12 PM Pacific Daylight Time, lgood@hersheys.com writes: << I am trying to locate the ancestry of my g-gmother Elizabeth ("Lizabeth" "Lizzie") Murphy Hilton. She was born 6-5-1861 (also found year as 1859) in Texas (county unknown).>> Maybe her mother was a Murphy and her father was Hilton. Maybe. Also, you should be able to find her in the 1870 census (eventually). <<She married Jonathan Tylor ("Berry" or "Barry") Hilton (b. 1848-d. 1919) in 1879 in Barry County. She is listed as his wife on the 1880 Census of Pierce Township/Stone Co. Reported her place of birth as Texas, but parents' place of birth is blank. She may have been an orphan? >> I'm guess she didn't know, or she didn't give the info (the hubby or oldest kid did) and they didn't know. In Barry Co in 1879....what people named HILTON own land? One of them could be her father. Then again, maybe she was living in another co. and Barry was closer for her to get married in? When did she die? Hopefully it is after MO started death records in 1910. It is $10 for a death cerificate. Hopefully it will list her parents' names. That is your best bet. Cheri Mello
