Uncle Asa stayed with the Comptons, probably in the 30'. The Claude Comptons lived in Jamesville about 1935-1936. Asa was buried in Blue Eye in a large cemetery west of town. Uncle Billy Jones worked for the Railroad, belonged to a lodge, and died of TB. The Little White Assembly of God owned the cemetery and the Claude Comptons went to church there. Sarah Ellen Jones funeral was at that church. Uncle Asa Jones who may have married to Nancy Goodall was a brother of William Riley. Bess Compton was less than 16 when she got married so she put the number 16 in her shoe so when the jp asked her if she was over 16 she could say yes honestly.
