To Don McPeek: The Kimbeling Mill was built by Davis Kimberling, the story is in Stone County History Book Volume 1. His second wife was Anna (Morris) Kimberling, both are buried at Silver Lake. Annas daughter, Susan, married Ambrose Cloud, both of whom are also buried at Silver Lake along with son Ollis A. Cloud. In 1888 Davis deeded a plot of land to the Elders of the Christian Church and a building stipulating it was to be used as a church. The property was sold in 1995. I don't know the history of the church otherwise, perhaps someone else can tell us. Davis and Anna had no children but both had families by their first spouses. Do you have the Census records of 1860-1880 Stone County on Kimberlings? Davis was listed in 1860 in Cass Township with wife Rebecca and Elizabeth age 18, James age 6, and David age 7 months. Rebecca died between 1870 and 1880 as he was then listed with Dianna as wife. Hopefully this will help you some on this particlar Kimberling family, there were others in the southern part of the county, not known if they were related. Elba
