Sorrry, but cserve does not allow me do hyperlinks. http://thelibrary.springfield.missouri.org/ >From there you can access "Local History" which is http://198.209.8.166/sheproom/index.html and you can see the link for the Turnbo Manuscripts there. But scroll down past that, and click on local periodicals, which takes you to- http://198.209.8.166/sheproom/periodicals/index.htm and you can choose "Ozark Watch" , "Bittersweet", and "White River Valley Historical Quarterly". The WRVHQ is http://198.209.8.166/sheproom/periodicals/wrvq/index.htm then click on contents http://198.209.8.166/sheproom/periodicals/wrvq/wrvtoc.htm I don't understand why my link works, but it does. I accessed the above from the Greene Co. MO gen page, which has a link to the library. Even though the Shepard Room is not used anymore, and the new library is great, no one has updated the website to reflect that yet. The 1840 Taney Census is in Vol 1 No. 2 Winter 1961, which is the bottom link on the page. http://198.209.8.166/sheproom/periodicals/wrvq/V1/V1toc.htm Then Vol 1 no. 2 is http://198.209.8.166/sheproom/periodicals/wrvq/V1/N2/W61toc.htm My bookmark, which I cut and pasted yesterday gets me there. I don't think I will ever understand computers. It looks like I was missing a directory in my addy. Bizarre. I apologize for the headaches y'all had. Be prepared to spend hours. Vonda
