One of the few stories my Mom told about her dad was when they first moved to Ark he was out hunting and didn't shoot anything until close to dusk. By the time he was ready to go home he realized 'he was lost being in new surrounding" knowing a few direction signs he started to follow but saw a light in the other direction and went to it the light stayed steady until he got within a few feet of it then disappeared.but down the hill he could make out home with his 3 boys playing in the yard. I remember such a story of my grandma(Eula), but don't know exactly where they were living in MO. at the time. Here goes: She said her sister Nellie, and brother Paul were with her, and they were on their way home. When all of a sudden a bright light appeared all the way around them, and seemed to follow them. They were so scared. She said Nellie started crawling, she started running, and Nellie still beat her home The light disappeared. She didn't say how long it was before Paul got there. Though I know he did, as he's still living. Grandma, and Nellie laughed about it years later. They never saw the light again. Of course this was before they had electricity.
