My grandmother Maudie went to McGuire school and to the day she died she swears, them woods is haunted. I listened with great interest. After thinking about all this I wondered if it were bootleggers, staying clear of government men! debi
My grandmother, Edith Jackson Herndon, told me many stories about spook lights. When I was a kid, all the kids in the neighborhood (here in California) loved to have her tell us spook light stories and other scary tales. My cousin, Connie Gold Wilson, has a photograph taken in front of her folks barn and it is said to contain the image of an Indian ghost. In looking at the photo, you might think that it is just a matter of how the late afternoon light hit the lens of the camera. It is much more fun to believe in the spook lights and keep us all children forever! Lou Ann Vogler
