Please don't mind me for poking some fun at this, just couldn't help myself. May all our people that went before us, rest in peace. Jim Dean; Naples, FL ____________________________________ From the Dean's of Stone & Christian Counties, MO. Great-great-grandfather Thomas Dean, Jr's who's seven (7) sons fought for the CSA. His one son James Robert Dean (great grand father) survived the war and later moved his family from GA to an area near Billings, MO. James R. had nine (9) children and Stone & Christian Counties have not been the same since. His son Loner M. Dean (grand father) married Cora Ann Cantrell of Christian County raised eight (8) children in Hurly, MO, which brings me to my father James T. Dean. He left Hurly to join the Army in the 1930's and stayed on for 26 years. There are still a mess of Dean's in MO and spread all over our great country. Just a little, proud, history of my tribe (gang) of folks!
