    3. Yes, I believe you are correct Stone Co, was part of Green Co, MO. I also believe, strictly my theory, that one branch of the family came through Ohio-Cumberland Gap once opened and the other branch came through the Natchez Trace. Basically, some through northern MO southward and the other's through AR. There are Allen's listed on the Carroll Co, AR web site (rootsweb). I will look in my Allen book and see if I can help any. Filbeck doesn't ring a bell thou. I don't have her birthday or know anything of her family. Her husband (George Washington Filbeck) was born around 1854. They lived in Green County, Mo, I believe I read at one time that Green County had been part of Stone County. Maybe someone else would know more on that, but if that is true, it could be a clue as to how you research. I just haven't gotten much into that branch of the family yet. I hope to get on it this year. Goldie > > > --------------------------------- > Do you Yahoo!? > Yahoo! Mail - Helps protect you from nasty viruses. > > > ==== MOSTONE Mailing List ==== > >
