    1. Those Mysterious Baltimores
    2. George Edmondson
    3. James Baltimore and his wife Lucinda Shumate lived in Stone County from 1835 when their oldest child was born until 1848, the birth of their youngest. How do I know? Because the 1850 census of Scott County Arkansas, lists James, Lucinda and their five children, stating the children were all born in Stone County Missouri. So at some time between 1848 and 1850 they moved to Scott County. How I have nothing official on them from Stone County. I don't know when they came to Stone County, or who their parents were. Not only that, but I have no record of them in Scott County after 1850. One of the children, my great grandmother, Nancy Elizabeth BALTIMORE, married Henry Edmondson on 19 January 1862 over in the Choctaw Nation. Henry then joined the Confederate forces (or was drafted), deserted and joined the 1st Arkansas Infantry, USA. The youngest child, William D. also enlisted in the 1st Arkansas, but what happened to the rest of the family??? So there you are. I don't know where the Baltimore's came from or where they went to. If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate any suggestions. Ancient Mariner.
