    1. Moore Family
    2. Am researching Yochum, Moore, Clinkenbeard, & Bilyeu. I want to share some info my great grandmother wrote and information my grandmother told me. My ggrandmother was Sarah Elizabeth Clinkenbeard, the daughter of Martin F. Clinkenbeard and his 1st wife Lenora Teague. She married William Davis Moore, called Dee Moore, the son of Garrett Moore and his 1st wife Mary Ann Davis. Dee had an older brother Williams Moore. Dee and Sarah's daughter was Minerva Paralee Moore who married John Raimey Yochum the son of Martin B. Yochum and Nancy Paralee Dye. According to my ggrandmother's notes, both she and Dee were born in Stone Co., Mo. as were their 4 children, 3 lived to adulthood. She also wrote that Garrett's parents were Levi Moore and Mary Ann Ford. The 1860 census of Stone Co. Mo. has Garrett's birthplace as Tn. and his brother William as Mo. However, this is what my great grandmother wrote in the family notes in her Bible, "William Moore was born in 1834 in Madison Co. K! y. He married Mary Ann Clinkenbeard in 1857." My grandmother told me that Garrett Moore, her grandfather said that he was born in Knox Co. Tn. and his birthplace is listed as Tn. on 1860 census. My grandmother also told me about Garrett talking about the family's move to Mo. He said he was 11 years old when they reached Memphis. There they loaded all their belongings including their farm animals on rafts and crossed the Mississippi River into Ark. She said he often talked of Memphis and what a grand place it was. It was the biggest town he had ever seen. I don't know if they were living in Ky. or Tn. just prior to the move to Mo. Does anyone know?

    3. If you haven't looked, you probably need to search the www.rootsweb.com data bases of family files. I think Vonda Sheets had alot of info there, plus others have likely been added. Good luck, Joy in MO [email protected] wrote: >Am researching Yochum, Moore, Clinkenbeard, & Bilyeu. I want to share some info my great grandmother wrote and information my grandmother told me. 3. I read you query with interest. My mother-in-law had an aunt that married an unknown Clinkenbeard. I believe they had a daughter named Bonnie. The aunt's name was Veda Lawrence and lived in Stone Co. for a while. If your research matches any of this, I would love to hear from you.
