This is an interesting website regarding the old "Dogpatch" amusement park. Apparently it is still privately owned. http://www.kaeskorner.com/marblefalls.html Marble Falls/Marble City was one of the many Ozarks towns that exist no longer, but at one time the springs were thought to have some beneficial properties. It was also the place where Arkansas's stone for the Washington monument was cut. This is a little off topic for a Stone County list, but if any of you get the chance, you ought to head down that way. Newton County, Arkansas is one of the most beautiful spots on earth.
