In doing some running around the CA Death index, I noticed something... In 1900 Stone Co. MO Census, William Isaiah Overstreet is md to a Mary E. The Stone Co. marriages show her to be Mary E. Williams. Well, try as I may, I've not been able to connect her to my Bilyeu-Williams bunch. She was b abt 1863 in MO. William d in CA 23 Jun 1943 Butte Co. CA (b 22 Jan 1869, s/o George Washington Overstreet and Mary Ruckman). The 1900 Stone Census shows son James C. b abt 1898. There is a Mary Overstreet b 10 Apr 1863 with a son Jim G. b 17 May 1899 MO. Both died in Butte Co. CA. But their death records show that her maiden name was Johnson, with her mother's maiden name as Carter. I am pretty sure this is the wife of William, but how come she is a Williams in the marriages? Is anyone missing a Mary E Johnson, whose mother's maiden name is Carter? I have NOT been able to find, in Taney, Stone, or Carroll Counties, a marriage for Mary Johnson to a Williams. Vonda
