AR is indeed the father of George. And Mickey says he died in Jun 1900. Guess a trip to the library for estate records, maybe, is in order. And divorce records, since Susan is living in son George's 1900 household. Both Mickey and Jean say that Wadkins/Pitts/Schwyharts/Hammer and Joseph Yocum (Hah, Robin!) or two came from KY together, or I've read that tonight twice (sorry, I just know that Mickey and Jean should be together on this one!). Does anyone know what year this happened? Am I straight on this? Although the Carroll Co. Marriages say James was 52 in 1888, if someone makes as many type-overs as I do, then it might should oughta been 62. And that would figure about right. Or else someone didn't hear him state his age right. I can seem to document all of GWO's kids and wives, except for Mary M. Roberts. And George himself. arrrrrgh. I think I am confused. Vonda
