    3. Pama and others, Reno Springs Road goes from Bear Creek Road northwest to just south of Spokane--it is mostly a dirt road, but a good one. One of the reasons it started up was also because it was a popular camping place for teamsters running freight on the Springfield-Harrison Road, which ran down present-day Reno Springs Road to Bear Creek Road, then on into Walnut Shade. Off the top of my head, I can't remember if it was a Gideon or a Meadows or some other Taney/Christian county family that built the first hotel/"campgrounds" there. Eau de Vie (it is pronounced "O da Vee") was north of Bluff in Taney County, over the Christian County line, on Bull Creek, I think. Pama, that's where David William Wilson (my 3xg, your 2xg grandfather) and "Aint Sary" lived when he died in 1916. I've not been there, but Greg has taken me by the old townsite of Reno, which is only a couple miles upstream from the old Nash place on Bear Creek. Both towns were in Christian County. Pama, yu're jest gonna have ta come over and go gallivantin' wit' us'n sumtim.
