Sorry to post such a long reply to (MOESTONE_L) but I don't know how else to handle it. Maybe this will trigger someone else who may have additional Information. Samule Smyth Was My ggrandfather, Martha My ggrandmother. Rebecca E. Smyth was my Grand mother. She Married Jesse Grenberry McGuire My grand father. McGUIRE, JESSE G * SMITH, RACHEL A FEB 27 1887 (Ref. Stone Co Marriages) There a lot of Spelling errors in the *Smyth Name Which I will point out in the following. The Stone Co. Marriages Records Should read. McGUIRE, JESSE G * SMYTH, RACHEL A m. FEB 27 1887 In the 1870 Flat Creek Census She is Refereed to as Rebecca E. age 2 b.Mo. She was Known to my Family as Rachel and is Buried In that name. She Died in 1928 and is buried Schnider Cemetery in Chelsea Rogers Co. Ok. Rachel had Several First Names (like 5 or more) as a kid I knew them but have forgotten them. I do not know when Samuel Smyth Moved to MO. I have found BLM land records in Indiana which indicate His Father had land in Indiana. His Name was also Samuel. Age 2 & Jeremiah A 11mo were born late in there life. I do not know Martha's maiden name. One could speculate that one or both could have had a prior Marriage. Samuel could have emigrated from Indiana to some where in MO., Met and Married Martha as her birth place is listed as Mo. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------- Note:(See Below) In the 1880 Census There Was 5 other people living in the house hold (house servant & Farm Labors. Who were these People?? Between the 1870 and 1880 census they must have fallen on hard times As they all disappear, as Well as Son, Jeremiah A.. Jeremiah must have died. In the 1880 Census there is an error The Surname Is Spelled SANETH, Samuel It should read SMYTH, Samuel ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- Note:(See Below) In the 1900 Census Samuel Smyth is Shown living with Jesse McGuire & Rachel (his Daughter) and there Family.
