I am trying to remember who she sold to when her father became ill and she had to care for him. seems to me it was Everton and wife. don't quote me on that yet still looking. If this is so, a lot of the information from Everton came from Elizabeth B Langley. If that is so they were free to do so, they bought it. (this was in the 1970's) By re reading EBL's information I think she has told me in her way that I will not find the burial place of Clemuel Davis, Or the Manning family that died in the 1860 and 1861. Her report hear clears up two things that have been giving me trouble. Here is what she wrote; The Railey Creek graveyard (now completely gone and is now a barn lot) it was a early burial place for Galena. One of the first men to be buried there was Gip Bowman who was killed by the bushwhackers. Bowman was quite a local celebrity who killed this panther with his bare fists. Two panthers were on a log once when Bowman came upon them unexpectedly, he killed one with his rifle and shot the other but failed to kill him. When the panther sprang at him, he knocked it out with his fist. After he was buried in Railey Creek Graveyard, other people that were killed during the war were brought there for burial. I have made a error on the men that killed Clem, Cox, & others I have many list here, some owed money to Clem, some that Clem owed and then the list of men killed in Galena by bushwhackers, then the list of men killed by Sam Davis. I had Gip on the list that killed Clem, he is now where he belong's, on the list killed by bushwhackers. Ellie
