    3. Hello MO Stoners, this list (my favorite) seems to be on fire, so, I thought I'd join in the fray. What sparked my interest in posting was the mention of the name "Elizabeth Langley". I am also looking for information on an "Elizabeth Langley" but not the one mentioned here earlier. The Elizabeth Langley I'm researching was born May 18, 1818 in McMinn Co., Tennessee and died January 16, 1901 in Buffalo, Dallas Co., Missouri. Elizabeth Langley married Silas Lazarus Morton December 12, 1832 in Medifork, McMinn Co., Tennessee. Silas was born January 1, 1808 in Blount Co., Tennessee and died September 16, 1862 in Polk Co., Missouri. Silas & Elizabeth had eleven children that eventually settled all over southwest Missouri in Polk, Greene, Christian, Barry, Dallas & Stone counties. Some of the families that the children married into were Maples, Roe, Edmond, Jones, Mustain, Dykes, Pope, Adams & others. What does all of this have to do specificlly with Stone Co., Missouri? I have, in my data, a John C. Langley, born abt. 1810 in McMinn Co., Tennessee, who married Luvisa Proctor June 14, 1831 in Roane Co., Tennessee. John & Luvisa moved from Tennessee to Polk Co., Missouri abt 1835 and eventually to Stone Co., Missouri where Luvisa died September 3, 1893 and was buried in the Anderson Cemetery, three miles south of Hurley, Stone Co., Missouri. John & Luvisa had eight known children that married into the families of Hodges, Eaton, Lewis & others. I would like to know "if & how" the above mentioned Elizabeth Langley and John C. Langley are related - are there any Langley family researchers out there who know anything about the earlier Langleys from Tennessee? Thanks in advance for anything anybody can offer, Jerry Proctor of Colorado Springs researching many families from s/w Missouri & s/e Kansas
