    3. Hello MOSTONERS, I have just added a section on the Wooley Creek School and the restoration project which is going on with the school. I will be adding more to it so check back from time to time for more photographs, history and memories of those who taught there and those who were students there. The project was started by a group of wonderful Stone County people who want to preserve the school and its' history. Many thanks to all those involved including Glenda Chamberlin who sent me all the material for the Wooley Creek School web pages. Thanks Glenda for sharing this important work with us! The direct link to the section is: http://www.rootsweb.com/~mostone/wooleycreek/wooleycrk1.html Jo

    1. Yocum/ Gibson/ Schwyhart/ Carey/ Moore/ Philibert Connection
    2. Wilma Fields
    3. One of my disconnected Yocum families has been connected, it seems! Joseph Yocum, and wife, Matilda Gibson Yocum's daughter, Margaret, seems to be the Margaret Unknown I had as the wife of George Mitchell Schwyhart. Their son, James Garfield Schwyhart married Florence Burris, the daughter of Newton and Margaret Melissa Ellen Carey. Margaret Carey is one of the Carey familiy that also connect to my Moore and Philibert families, and who knows what others. I can get confused on all the family intermarriages, but hey, it is fun anyway! Another connection of Matilda Gibson Yocum, is that her sister, Sarah, married a younger brother, Asa Fields, of my husbands' GG-grandfather, Abraham Fields! I am still plugging away on some of the other Yocum/Yoachum families that keep popping up in other families. The Gibson family came to Washington Co. AR from VA, and several family members went north to Springfield, MO at the time of the Rebellion. Also, several of Abraham Fields' brothers also came into NW AR. Since I grew up in Springfield, and live in NW AR, I am smack dab in the middle of this whole bunch! Wilma

    3. I would like to thank all of the amazing people who responded to my request! It is awesome! Linda, thank you for giving it a go, if ever I can help you let me know. Trish, your uncle must be a very kind and knowledgable person for you to call on him, and for such a tiny thing for a complete stranger. Joy, thank you so much for finding them for me. This was my one little piece missing that would complete the puzzle. I spent yesterday rechecking the 1900 Stone census and scrolling through the Cedar County images, just to be sure I hadn't missed them there. Trish, if Cordelia was your ggm, then we are half 2nd cousins once removed. I looked it up. I am gggranddaughter to Leonard Leroy, Maggie's youngest. My grandmother, Addie, (who was the child of Leonard and Nellie Jane Berry, Cordelia's sister) was a comtemporary of some of Cordelia's children; Raymond, Dorothy, and Ruby. They played together quite a bit and she was particularly close to Dorothy. They stayed in touch all their lives. Well, here's to happy hunting for all of us! Janet Southall
