    3. Oh---and I won't even start on Taylors that married into my Pearson family in Brunswick Co. VA. 3. I haven been on the lookout for information and photos of some of these folks for some time. Sarah HENDRIX-TAYLOR-PAGE is my gggrandmother through her daughter, Martha Jane HENDRIX. Martha married Parington Taylor, aka "Pard" in Barry County in 1873. Sarah's first three children were John, Mary and Martha (all Hendrix) and all moved to Texas about 1900 and before. I have seen and copied Sarah Page's death certificate showing date of death of Nov. 21, 1914 and name of informant as James Taylor, who must be the son of Jordan and Sarah Taylor. I have puzzled some time about the relationship between the various Taylor's living in Stone (and Barry) County after 1860's to 1900's. I believe that gggrandfather Pard is the son of William Taylor who may be the son of David Taylor, a North Carolina native. But these are just my beliefs, nothing substantiated. i do have a photo of Martha, made about 1910 in Lamar County, Texas with youngest son, James (Jimmy)Taylor. I also have a photo of her sister Mary received from on-line friends. This is all I have at this time in the way of photos at this time. Let me know if I can help. Gary W. 2. Debi, The Volantine Taylor line is my line. I have all his descendants posted up on Old Settlers Of Stone County. Ed Costlow was my great grandfather. Volantine Taylor is not known to be related to any of the other Taylors ...however there has been much speculation by Edna and Ruth Asher as to whether he was somehow connected to Mack Taylor. After many many years of research, I have not located any kind of connection for Vol. Taylor. Anyhoo, take a peek at Old Settlers for a complete listing of who is related to these Taylors. The Owens are also up there. Robin Biddle On Sun, 3 Sep 2006 21:02:22 -0500 "Debi Kush Waterman" <debi0717@alltel.net> writes: > I boo booed > Volantine Taylor b. ca. 1814 TN d. Stone Co, Mo brd. 3. Hi Debi, I have been trying to find my dads Aunts first husban , George Owens her name was Mary Ellen Taylor she was the daughter of David Marion Taylor . I know she was married to George Owens in 1906 or 7 because when she filled for Indian rights with Guion Miller Roll she was married to him, as it was listed on her roll number. The Taylor's did live in Stone co. and then later moved to Mount Vernon ,Lawrence Co. and then I find Mary Ellen married again and this time had a son , she married a Elbert Pennington , and there son's name was James David Pennington . Mary Ellen had 7 brother's name's were George Washington Taylor, Zebedee Taylor, James William Taylor (my grandfather), Robert Taylor, sorry I don't have my notes in front of me , and my computor is down , but if you go to the photp file and look at the Taylor's pictures they are all there one missing is standing with brother and nefew and his daughter Mary Ellen's son and grand daughter. Soon as I can find the information I will let you know more. I am getting up in age now and memory isn' that great anymore. I bet our Mary Ellen was related to both yours and Wilma's Husband family. wish I could make the connection. You can email me at shirleyacarter@verizon.net I would love to hear from you. 3. Debi, If your connection of George Taylor back to Volantine is correct, you may have just answered a long standing question as to how this family and another Taylor family in Stone Co may have any connections to each other. What I can tell by your posting, regards Lucy Melissa Frances Taylor, who married Dilly Fate Owens. My husband is related to the Owens family. Diily Fate's father was William King Owens. What is interesting to me, is that his sister, Anna Isabelle Owens married William Thomas Taylor. This William Thomas Taylor has no known connection to the Voluntine Taylor family. My best information has led me to believe that William Thomas Taylor was the son of Claiborn Taylor of Maury Co. TN, from which the Owens family came from also. These are all my husbands' direct ancestors. William Thomas Taylor is buried at Monett, Barry Co MO., as is Anna. William King Owens and wife, Sarah McRae Owens are buried at the Owens Cemetery in Stone Co. If I remember correctly, William King Owens was the first burial, and I believe he donated the land for the cemetery.
