    2. Actually, I never believed in all this "alien" stuff until a few years into genealgoy. Now I have found it most practical in regards to ancestors that just can't seem to be found, to write in my tree....."Born to alien, dropped on planet to screw up my tree...until proven otherwise!!" :-) Live long and prosper!

    3. Have you ever tried - I never remember which one it is - Ancestry.com or Family Tree Maker.com, but they have a census dbase. Some of it is limited & yes, it is a paid subscription - about $60. per year? I almost think they are linked to the same dbase. Anyhow, I've used it lots to locate tentative lost rellies. It won't pop up the whole census info, but if I type in a name, it will show matches & I can research likely suspects as it shows state & county for each specific name. It's saved me many hours of library searching. I might have him on a ship list, but he has a very common name, so I can't be sure. I found the ship information on her Petition for Citizenship (2nd or final papers). She called the ship the "Pensalor" (Peninsular...close enough, given her accent), and was off by 5 days on her arrival (she gave this info 50 years after arriving in America). She also named the port of enty (New York...so she came through Ellis Island....when I was there I really had this odd feeling. I can't explain it. But now I know why. I walked the halls where my great-grandmother was. Sort of eerie). If your grandfather didn't naturalize, but still was alive in 1940, you can get his alien registration. If you want information on how to do this, I have it. I can send it to you via email. Cheri Mello

    3. My Narramores were Cherokee, also called Greenback by some white Indian agent, so they probably are related and my great-great-great-grandmother Adkins, who was a Narramore, died in McDonald Co. That is also where my Johnstons first seemed to go in MO; before that they followed this trail: Scotland > Eire > NC & VA > TN > AR >MO Mine seem to have been here since at least 1770? 3. Bobbie, et al, Its time for me to wake up. I saw this the other day and completely slipped by. The Stults cemetery is just outside what I have always called Reeds Spring Junction. The atlas I have calls the town? STUTTS. this is the intersection of 248 and 160 about 3 miles north of Reeds Spring. The cemetry is a little hard to find, although the road is sort of paved. It is the first road east of the 248 and 160 junction. The cemetery is, if I remember right, about1/2 to 3/4 mile down on the right. I think the name on the mailbox just before it is BESS, BASS or BEST or something similar. I have been trying to get some info on the Stults > Cemetery >> listed in the Stone County Cemetery list. I have located my Great >> Great-Grandmother there. The location in the list says it is located >> one-half mile southwest of Stults, MO. on a gravel road. Elba gave me some >> history on it, but I have looked on the maps online, and the only Stults, > Mo. >> that comes up is north and east of Springfield quite a ways. Is there >> another Stults, MO, does anyone know? Would greatly appreciate someone >> clearing this up for me, as we plan on a trip back there, and need to know >> exactly where to look. Thanks.
