    3. I just want to let you know I don't think my family ended up in Stone Co. but your web page is neat that I keep coming back to it wishing all the ones I find were as nice as yours. And this list is a real hoot. I can always count on a funny message or two to pick up my day. Thanks so much for your hard work, and to those volunteers too. I still might find someone from Stone Co. I know my gggf was in School, a small community in Stone Co. when he applied for his Civil War pension. So I am keeping my eyes on you. ----- Original Message ----- From: <Kinklector@aol.com> To: <MOSTONE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, July 27, 2000 2:06 AM Subject: [MOSTONE-L] 1920 Census Update > Dear List, > > Just so all the MOSTONE listers know, only half of the townships were copied > and send to the transcribers last week. 2. Thanks so much, Cheri, for all your organization. I want to help on something, but I don't the skills and energy right now. We still have slight hope of getting to Torrance in September, but we meet with the oncologist tomorrow and the radiologist next Friday and that will probably tell the story. Mary Ann

    2. Thanks again to you all for you prayers and concerns. I have very good news. My lump was indeed small and self contained. They removed it successfully and got good margins and no evidence of spreading, so I just heal up and get radiation as the usual method of making absolutely sure they got it. All your words of encouragement have been so helpful. Mary Ann

    3. I've gotten into the habit, shame on me, of ranking all web sites by Stone Counties standards. So far I haven't found any that measure up, not by a long shot. The recent addition of the 1920 census is just one example of your achievements. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you ever so much. If it hadn't been for your work on the 1910 census I never would have found our Scott family before they left for Canada. The work you have done has been a real blessing. Every one of us need to send you a pat on the back. Pam Coones (married to a Stone County man)

    2. Dear List, Just so all the MOSTONE listers know, only half of the townships were copied and send to the transcribers last week. The other half was copied today (Wed) and is going to be mailed Thursday. The transcribers are doing this on a volunteer basis and are doing this on their free time (between work and family). Some townships are only 5 pages; others are 32. Some pages are incredible clear and other have a few lines or some sections that are so faded you can hardly see anything. So, this will take some time. Please be patient with us. Thanks, Cheri Mello

    2. Shoni Jones
    3. Hello List... I need to ask for some help, I just recently discovered my paternal line has roots in Missouri too!! As anybody heard of Wm. ALDRIDGE who married Mary (Polly) ALLEN in 1846 or Martha ALDRIDGE who married Andrew WELCH in 1840? They left Missouri for Oregon (640acres of land per couple under the Dona Land Claim Act) and arrived in Oregon City in October 1847....including son-in-law A. Welch, and Martha & Wm.'s parents John & Mary Jane Greening Aldridge. Any help or leads GREATLY appreciated !! Shoni

    1. [MOSTONE-L] Taylor mess
    2. Mindvoice
    3. I am looking for yet another Taylor line. I am not sure if he is related to any of the other Taylors in Stone Co or not. William Sturge Taylor m Emily Oakes and (2)Mattie Thompson. Mattie had been married previously and brought children into the marriage. William and Emily had a son James Taylor who m Carrie Amelia Miller. Their son, Bill Taylor m Margaret Costlow (my mother). Is anyone researching this Taylor family? Who were the parents and Sibblings of William Struge Taylor? Who were parents of Mattie Thompson??? Did William S Taylor have other children? Please email me if you have information on this family!! Thanks! Robin http://members.xoom.com/Robid/Page_1.htm http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~biddle/settlers.htm

    2. Mindvoice
    3. The Stacy, Rasure/Razor and Applegate families are all listed on the 1870 Census of Stone Co. Is anyone researching any of these? I am particularly interested in the Stacy/Applegate relationship. Are they connected to the Holt or Horn family in any way? If so, how? Does anyone know anything about Elizabeth Rasure and her children:Andrew, Abraham, James, Mary Jane, and Lydia Ann??? What was her maiden name??? Who did her children marry? What happened to her husband? Thanks for helping preserve our Stone Co History!! Robin http://members.xoom.com/Robid/Page_1.htm http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~biddle/settlers.htm
