Wonderful job! You all are GREAT!!!! Seems like my eyes cross everytime I start to look at a census that has not been transcribed. "You all need to take a bow." Warmest Smiles, Pama
Please do what you need to do at home and at the hospital. The census really can wait. My prayers are with you. Also take very good care of yourself too. You are the well one right now. Mary Ann from Tucson
>>This makes Tennessee Sullivan Rapp my grandmother's great-aunt and my >>grandfather's step-great-aunt. For what it's worth, that should have been "my grandmother's great-aunt and my grandfather's step-grandmother". I think I'll give it a rest....
PJ - But, it really can talk - check this out www.talksender.com assuming you have a microphone & speakers~ But don't think it works thru the lists, still fun. > O, but if this computer screen could only talk! > > Cousin of many -- PJ > > > ==== MOSTONE Mailing List ==== >
Hello, Beloved List-People -- Just to let you know that I got back in from out of town a few days ago and Cheri's copies of Cass Twp. were waiting for me (Cheri, the check is in the mail...REALLY!). Cass is a big 'un, and I'm in my busiest time of year, with a lot of late hours at work and out-of-town travel (and, not to exclude, the Annual Gold Family Reunion in Crane, NEXT SUNDAY!!! Noon, at the Senior Center in downtown Crane...bring a covered dish and your camera). So, please be patient -- I'm working on this project in every spare moment I can find. I know that you good people will find it in your hearts to cut this ol' hillbilly some slack...and I'll get it to you as soon as I possibly can. Your patience and genteel nature are virtues of stellar proportion. To paraphrase a politician, "This is a kinder, gentler list". O, but if this computer screen could only talk! Cousin of many -- PJ
Yes, indeed...I can comiserate, especially this week, as I found that my paternal grandmother's maternal grandfather (James C. Sullivan, of Christian County) had a sister named Tennessee Sullivan, who was the first wife of my paternal grandfather's paternal grandmother's second husband (whew!), Isaac Benton Rapp, of Stone County. This makes Tennessee Sullivan Rapp my grandmother's great-aunt and my grandfather's step-great-aunt. Roadmap: My grandmother: Annie Rachel Dunton Jackson My grandfather: Herman William Jackson Herman's grandmother: Mary A. Gold Jackson Rapp Mary's second husband: Isaac Benton Rapp Isaac's first wife: Tennessee Sullivan Rapp Tennessee's brother: James C. Sullivan James' grandaughter: Annie Rachel Dunton Jackson
Thank you, sweet Linda. (I have a niece by that name). I do appreciate your prayers. Many more tests tomorrow. We will come up with an answer one of these days! For those of you who are wondering about Lincoln Township: I am working on it. It is moving slowly as my husband has been quite sick with pneumonia for 3 weeks now. I have nursed him at home and his pneumonia is better. However, on Thursday about noon, his specialist put him in the hospital with blood clots on his lungs. He is undergoing many scans, ultrasounds and other tests, trying to determine where the clots are originating. So far, no luck, but he is on oxygen constantly, antibiotics by IV, shots of heprin in the stomach to thin the blood, and the list goes on.......I keep running between the hospital and home as I have company here for 2 1/2 weeks. Please keep us in your prayers. Diane Biggar-TAYLOR PS: I am still looking for the final resting place of Stone County persons: John TAYLOR, wife Lucinda ?, son Jordan F. TAYLOR and his wife, Sarah Durham/Hendricks/TAYLOR/Page. I know Sarah's last husband, Jacob Oliver Page is buried in Viola Cemetery. (Sarah must have died about 1917?)

All of you that have worked on all of the past and present censuses for Stone Co. are wonderful, fantastic, marvelous folks!!! No other county, anywhere, has so many volunteers that have done such a great, group effort with archives. This generosity is a great inspiration to all of us! Keep sharing and remember WE ALL APPRECIATE & THANK YOU!!! Jerry Johnston
Jo & Shirley --- THANK YOU for all you do for us Stone County researchers! All census transcribers......THANK YOU!
Well, ya'll, Mostone has been so quiet the past month that I was able to hear voices from the past! That's right!! The Ancestors are very upset that no one is trying to find them. They have been gathering at the cemeteries, family reunions, and anywhere they thought someone might look for them. They said they waited patiently for someone to call their name... They stood quietly by, in hopes that a descendant would add their name to the family rolls. Some cried softly, when their silent pleas were ignored. They told me that they were very excited about the new census records because that meant that someone might be able to locate them! How about giving them some hope??? I believe that when we call out a name, they are reassured that we are looking for them! Perhaps they will answer back! Zepharine Berry, I am looking for you!!! You were on the 1870 Flat Creek census. Where did you go??? Robin http://members.xoom.com/Robid/Page_1.htm http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~biddle/settlers.htm
this is a wonderful project and I apperciate everyone of you ...Keep up the good work...
