    1. A GOOD LINK
    2. Peter or Josephine Dunne
    3. Hello MOSTONERS, I have been meaning to send you all this link for ages. I finally got around to it ! And thanks to our friend Joy Hobbs who took time to scout out the images there is an extra plus. The link - http://digital.library.umsystem.edu/ is the 1930 Plat books for every county in Mo. including Stone. It is part of the digital library at the University of Missouri. It is slow going looking at the maps, but if you are looking to see where some of your ancestors lived then it is worth the time and effort. Each page contains the names of the people who owned the land in 1930. The extra added attraction is when you get to the plat book map site go to the Stone county one and then click on "other views" at the top of the page, and the township map will come up. Enjoy. Jo

    1. Re: [MOSTONE-L] Looking for buriel sites for great grandparents
    2. I have been tracing the Mounce Family history. And found that Ephriam and Stella, had other brothers and sisters, older than they were. I will e-mail you some more about them later. But Jonathan and Angeline Mounce are Ephriam and Stella's parents, and Jonathan was born in Kentucky, Angeline was born in Illinois. I found that Stella was born at Salem, Missouri, Dent County, Missouri, and that Jonathan and Angeline and the older children lived for a brief time in Texas County, Lynch Township, before coming to Stone County. In fact, in Dent County, there is a MOUNCE cemetery. It has been very interesting to find this and the remaining puzzle is where is Jonathan and Angeline buried????? I cannot find that information. Talk with you later, Betty J. (Martin) Henry p.s. my mother is Dora Davis. She was a cousin to Harold, Charley, and Paul Mounce.

    2. Yes, I have. There is one cemetery I wonder about, and that would be the Old Town Cemetery in Crane, located with the Christian Church. I couldn't find any names listed there, so I don't know. Betty J. (Martin) Henry

    2. I am looking for the place of buriel for my great grandparents, Jonathan ( went by J.R. or John at times) MOUNCE, and his wife, Angeline. They moved here from Kentucky, living in Dent and Texas Counties briefly, before moving to Stone County, Elsey, Missouri area. According to the 1910 census, John and Angeline Mounce was living next door to my grandparents, Urban Townsend and Stella Wales (Mounce) Davis. By 1920 census, I find J.R. Mounce living with his daughter, Mary Lloyd in and around Crane, Missouri. At this point, I assume that Angeline died between 1910 and 1920 census. In the 1930 census, I do not find him listed in Stone County. If anyone recognizes seeing that name on a tombstone somewhere, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks a million Betty J. (Martin) Henry

    2. I have never been to Blue Eye but my ancestors lived there and many are buried in the blue Eye cem. from what I have been told another church is close by there and a cemetery, it is called the Bowman church. and the cem. next to it was so old that it couldn't hardly be read. Maybe this will be of use, I doubt it, haven't kept up with my mail because I am trying going on the second week to change servers.

    2. Jerald Mobley
    3. Hi Wilma. Haven't been home a lot lately, due to summer time wanderings. With respect to Joseph Francis Horn, I believe he was my grandfather, Lemuel Henry Mobley's half brother. For sure he was, if he was the son of Mary Eliza Philibert's union with Eliza or Livus Horn. I think we've messaged a bit back and forth about this, but right now memory is a bit cloudy...might be cause of the hot weather. LOL Anyways...I always find your messages interesting and informative to read. Thanks, Jerald O. Mobley (Jerry) of Walla Walla, WA P.S. My grandfather's elder brother, William Adolphus Mobley must have been born very soon, perhaps a year or so after Mary Eliza divorced Livus Horn. William is buried in Potter's field in Yuba City or Marysville, California...again memory is cloudy about that. I visited his gravesite when I was 18, almost a half century ago. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Wilma Fields" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, February 09, 2004 7:35 PM Subject: Re: [MOSTONE-L] Another Philibert _Horn Question > Oops! Dear Elba, When I replied to your email it bounced back to me saying that your anti spam software wouldn't allow my email because my name wasn't on your "allowed list". Just wanted to say thanks for sending me the update. August minutes and the changes have been posted. Jo
