Hello MO-Stoner's, Does any one out there have a William H. McConnell in their "Tree" I believe him to be born Jan 13, 1810, and died in Stone Co. 1/20/1899 had about 9 sons and 3 daughters. Was my G.G. Grandfather, and I would like to communicate with any descendents, and share info. Thanks, Fred Crabb
I would hope that someone would know if there was a plague or something in Stone County in 1884. My great-grandmother and her daughter-in-law both died within 2 days of each other in January 1884.. Thanks for any help Shirley M. Humble > >==== MOSTONE Mailing List ==== > > > > > > > > > > > > > ==== MOSTONE Mailing List ==== > >
Hello MOSTONERS, There is a new photo in the album of some of the Wilson boys from Hootontown. A great story goes along with it. Be sure and have a look. The direct URL to the photo is: http://www.rootsweb.com/~mostone/photo/wilson.htm Hope everyone is having a great holiday. Jo
Yes, here I am in sunny Sarasota, Florida sitting out that slowpoke Frances. All is well with me and I feel very fortunate. I can see how you can miss finding a cemetery. My husband John, who used to know the Stone Co. area well, and I missed the entire town of Oto. I understand that there isn't much left of it so maybe we have a good excuse. Marj formerly genmshort
You could probably find it now, I was through the area last evening and there is now a sign saying "Oto"!! Something was happening at the church too, there were several cars there. So, it is still a busy little place, at times. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, September 05, 2004 8:55 PM Subject: [MOSTONE-L] Frances > Yes, here I am in sunny Sarasota, Florida sitting out that slowpoke Frances. > All is well with me and I feel very fortunate. Hi All ~ Hope none of you are getting caught in the punch of Hurricane Frances. Thought I'd let you folks know, I'm about ready to start making CD's with this new data base. I have to go back & copy a page I somehow missed, get it transcribed, and then I should be about set to go. After I get that done, I hope on Tuesday, I'll post the surnames that are contained on this piece of work. My plan is - I'm going to include all of my data bases on this one CD, so there will be 1876 Census 1879 Personal Property Assessment 1886 Personal Property Assessment 1890 Personal Property Assessment Map of Stone County, I hope Since I'm pretty new at this CD creating thing, I won't say it's going to dazzle you. It's just going to be the data in individual data bases. Sound thrilling? Probably not, but you might find a rellie tucked here and there! Those of you who might be interested, please let me know OFF LIST. As far as I can best guess right now, cost will be $10.00 for the CD. I don't particularly plan on making any booklets of this data base, but if that really is important to you, let me know. Hope all are having a great weekend with your current family. Joy in MO
There is currently a kin of the Kimberlings reunion at the Kimberling Inn, on Table Rock Lake. The Kimberlings and some other families have annual reunions at the Inn each year or so. Check the Inn's website for general info. Call their "group booking" lady for detailed info. and dates. Don't have their number, but it's listed and easy to obtain. It isn't a town, it is a village and you won't find it on most maps. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mike Flannigan" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, September 04, 2004 1:24 PM Subject: Re: [MOSTONE-L] Pompel Cemetery > > Yes, thanks alot. I am trying to locate Pompel Cemetery. It is reportedly located at McCord Bend, west of Galena. The cemetery now lies below someone's garden, so it can not be seen. I say McCord Bend is east of Galena. Anybody know for sure? Mike Flannigan
