Unfortunately, it does not. The only clues I have is that William was born in Madison Co. Ky. and Garrett in Knox Co. Tn. However, I wonder if it was not Knox Co. Ky. There were several Moore families including Levi in Knox Co. Ky. I believe I found 3 families there about 1802 or 1803. There are Moore's listed as some of the first settlers of Boonesbrough. There were also 2 Bilyeu families early on. ----- Original Message ----- From: cjelliott To: [email protected] Sent: Thursday, January 13, 2005 11:03 AM Subject: Re: [MOSTONE-L] Moore Family I have been researching the Moore family for about 20 years. It would be easy to copy the written pages, but the photos might not copy. I would want to check with her first. I'll give her your email address and she can contact you if that is okay. Jan
It is not for sale. It is a book that she put together as a gift to her family members. It is mainly the story of Williams and Florence Moore's children and where they settled. Most of their children migrated to Idaho and she grew up with them telling stories to her about Stone County and their beginnings in Idaho. It is basically the history of that one family. Thank you so much for your reply. I too have questioned the information showing the births in KY and TN. There was also a younger sister born in AR. I have a cousin that has also researched this family extensively. She just sent a book to me on the Williams Moore family. Williams' sons told her that Levi and Mary Ann migrated to Stone County from Tennessee, but no counties mentioned. (I am referring to Williams, son of Garrett) There are so many Garretts and Williams that it is hard to keep them straight. Anyway, I will keep searching and post if I find any definite information. Thanks, Jan ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, January 13, 2005 3:26 PM Subject: Re: [MOSTONE-L] Moore Family > Unfortunately, it does not. Hello Linda, I am a Davis researcher, mine is Clem & Martha Davis son's Samuel & John Wesley Davis. If you went to the One World Tree on Ancestry.com with their change in the way that is put out to a long time researcher or one that is new, they pass around very bad information. I use ancestry.com, but census is all anymore, everything else has been put there without proof, I guess there is other good info but it should be checked out like you are trying to do now. Ellie
Is any one on the list researching Salina Davis Whelchel Dobbs Davis Sims? I was looking at Ancestry.com OneWorldTree, need to get some corrections made. Linda

Thank you for the info. That is the correct Veda Lawrence. William Clinkenbeard was known as a "good fiddle" player. ----- Original Message ----- From: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> To: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, January 13, 2005 12:11 AM Subject: [MOSTONE-L] Moore Family I don't have much info on Vada Lawrence, I'm not sure this is the Vada Lawrence you are looking for, but this is what I have. William M. Clinkenbeard born 7 Jan. 1879, died 14 Aug. 1933, married Vada Lawrence. He was the son of Hiram Clinkenbeard born 8 Oct. 1849 in Ark., died 10 June 1911, and Mariah Johnson Dye Clinkenbeard born 25 July 1838, died 30 April 1913. Hiram Clinkenbeard married (1) America Razor. They had one child and both she and the child died. Mariah Johnson married (1) John Dye and they had 3 children. Nancy Paralee Dye is my great grandmother. Hiram and Mariah married in Stone Co. Mo. 5 July, 1871. They had 3 children, Josephine, John, and William. According to family lore, William called himself "Billy Whiskers". On the Stone Co. Mo. 1900 census for Williams Twp. I find a James Lawrence and listed in household is a daughter age 2 named Vada. Also in Williams Twp. is listed in household of Mariah Clinkenbeard, a son William M. age 21. (Mariah'! s ! name is hard to read) The transcription just has (M?) for the 1st name. The 1920 Stone Co. Mo. census for Williams Twp. has listed a Bill Clinkenbeard as head and Mariar age 73, as mother, and Thos. R. Dye as bro. Oh, Mariah was born in Ky. Hiram Clinkenbeard was the son of Henry Clinkenbeard and Elizabeth Louisa Bilyeu. Henry and Louisa Bilyeu Clinkenbeard had several children. One of their sons, Martin Clinkenbeard is my great great grandfather. William (Bill) and Vada Clinkenbeard should be on the 1930 census somewhere. Both Hiram and Mariah are buried in McCullough Cemetery in Stone Co. Mo. Information from their tombstones is listed in the transcription of McCullough Cemetery on Mostone. My great grandmother, Nancy P. Dye Yochum, daughter of Mariah and John Dye is also buried there. According to my great grandmother Sarah Clinkenbeard Moore's Bible record, both Henry and Louisa Bilyeu Clinkenbeard are buried in the Leonard Cemetery in Stone Co., Mo. I don't! f! ind it listed on Mostone, so it may be one of those old cemeteries that no longer has a name. ==== MOSTONE Mailing List ====

Hello MOSTONERS, There is a new photo in the Album of Wm. Hembree and his wife Nancy Ann Jones. We are grateful to Cheri Mello for sharing it with us. The direct URL is : http://www.rootsweb.com/~mostone/photo/hembree.htm Jo
My mother just told me her cousin Alden Hembree (about age 80) is living in Reeds Spring. I checked the phone books online and found him, but no street address. Is a street address necessary for Reeds Spring? If he has email, I'd rather have that. Sincerely, Cheri Mello Torrance, CA Researching: Duncan, Hembree, Hood, Jones, Logan, Pinkley, Rhodes
I read you query with interest. My mother-in-law had an aunt that married an unknown Clinkenbeard. I believe they had a daughter named Bonnie. The aunt's name was Veda Lawrence and lived in Stone Co. for a while. If your research matches any of this, I would love to hear from you.
