Goldie, I only have a little that my first cousin has given to me. She really likes genealogy but doesn't do research. She helps with some of the Bowling reunions I think. Her grandfather was Amos Armstong Bowling b.May 30, 1887. He was the son of Thomas Bowling b. 1850. Is this the same Thomas Bowling? Thanks for any help you can give me. Toni
Goldie, I have that Nancy Baker Hilton was the daughter of William Henry Hilton Sr. and Rhoda Lawson Hilton rather than William N. Hilton. I have also conflicting dates on her birth. What do you have? Toni

I am guessing that she married the neighbor after William Pleasant Manning died in 1865. I also have her with the same death informtion. Toni Sorry that I can't help you more. Maybe we have other information that we can exchange.

HI Toni, the only Hilton I have in my data base is a D. Hilton married to a Pearl Bowling. She was the daughter of Thomas LaCurtis Bowling and Martha Elizabeth Martin. I have quite a bit of Bowling information. There are others, including Dan Bowling who maybe can help you better than I can. I only know of Martha Bowling being married once. There is another Martha Bowling (aunt of Martha and Matilda Ann), who married a James Daniel Perdue and lived in Tennessee. Her full name was Martha Francis (Bowling) Perdue. Of course, I am interested in staying touch. Do you have any Bowling information, stories or pictures? DOB: January 3, 1905 DOD: December 1980 I am looking for information on the above named individual. She is my first cousin, once removed. I found her married name on the obituary for her mother, Nancy A. Jennings Rhea. Any family information and/or burial information would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me. Twila Jennings Smith

Thanks Sid! I will keep digging. Perhaps I can round up something on him. Harold Crumply was very political and held city and county offices
Robin: I can't tell much about this--what are the dates? It is probably Harold, son of Arthur Crumpley. He was a second cousin of my dad's, I believe, and the one I was mentioning in my last e-mail. If I had the dates, my mom (who lives with me, age 87) could probably give us some detail. Harold.
LOL. I guess you missed it. This appears as Harold Crumpley on later census. 64 65 Crumpley Hurstan A. head 33 MO Effie R. wife 27 MO Dorothy daughter 7 MO Stepha S. daughter 2 1/12 MO Robin Don't forget to Vote!! http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~biddle/settlers.htm
I'm sorry, you lost me. "This guy is Harold too"--which guy? Did I close part of your message? I was named after a distant cousin, who was a perrenial political candidate in MO--the county clerk, or something. My mother said she liked the name--kind of old fashioned now, I guess. Harold
Hello MOSTONERS, There is one new photo in the album AND one of our mystery photos has been nearly solved !! The pictures are of students of Union City School --- one in 1905 and one in 1913. I can recall many of the names from stories my mother told me about the people who lived in Union City. She was born in Union City (previously called School, Mo.) in 1920 after the photographs, but I remember some of the family names. We are so grateful to K.C. Messenger for sharing the photographs and to Hazel Messenger for helping us get the identities of these beautiful children and teachers. The direct URL's to the photos are: http://www.rootsweb.com/~mostone/photo/messenger/m21.htm http://www.rootsweb.com/~mostone/photo/messenger/m20.html Jo
Robin: Sorry about the delay getting back to you. I wanted to check some of my data before writing--I still didn't find all of it. Both my great grandfather, William Anthony "Wid" Crumpley, and great, great grandfather, William Patrick Crumpley, had brothers named John. Without knowing the dates for the John you are asking about, I would think he would be one of these two--both could have been alive in 1900. William Patrick's brother was John Wesley, b. 1832. His line was being researched by Pat Mondy and Carmine Crumpley, wife of John, who, I think, was John Wesley's gt. grandson. William Anthony's brother was John Samuel--their mother was Sarah Susan Samuel. This is probably the one in the 1900 census. I don't know of anyone who is researching him. If you have some more specific quesitons that you think I could help with, give me an e-mail. Hope this helps, Harold.
