    2. It seems that William Samuel Hilton married a young girl by the name of Martha E. Bowling. It sounds like it was mainly so he would have someone to take care of him. Martha E. Bowling was born 1891. The wedding took place August 28, 1912, in Barry County, MO. He then died November 04, 1914. Toni

    2. Goldie, I talked with my first cousin, Damarus Bowling Gray. She said that she would be happy to visit with anyone researching the Bowling line. She lives at Aurora. She wanted to know where you live and your last name. Let me know if you want her address and phone number. Genna Faye's last name is Burgess now but her maiden name was Cook. I believe that her mother was a Bowling. I do know that she is very involved with the Bowling reunions. Toni

    3. HI Toni, I have Amos as being married to a Minnie Vaughn. Thomas LaCurtis Bowling has a birthday of July 4, 1840 (you are saying 1850), I am not sure. Dan is probably the person I got the information from. I got it from either him, James Oliver Bowling( who has since died...but was a wonderful man that gave me much information), or Genna Faye Bowling. Talk with Dan and see what he has. Keep in contact. I would love to help you with the Hilton thing, but just have what I told you. Get into the Bowlings, and there are those of us around that would be glad to share what we have. Talk to you later. She really likes genealogy but doesn't do research. She helps with some of the Bowling reunions I think. Her grandfather was Amos Armstong Bowling b.May 30, 1887. He was the son of Thomas Bowling b. 1850. Is this the same Thomas Bowling? Thanks for any help you can give me. Toni ==== MOSTONE Mailing List ====

    2. Dan, Just keeping in touch. You will never meet a sweeter person than this first cousin of mine. Out of respect for her, I want to ask her permission to give out her name and phone number. I am so sure that she will not mind at all. I tried calling her awhile ago and had to leave a message. I will call back later tonight. She has given me the names of her uncles and aunts. I have some of the information on them. Her father passed away a couple of years ago. Amos and Minnie had a large family. I do remember them. I would like also to add to the information I have because I put it into my FTM and then print it off for her. Hopefully, I will be getting back to you later tonight. Toni Roush Springfield, MO.

    2. Robert & Mary Lou Logan
    3. Dancing Eagle, Have you read any of the "Indian Pioneer Papers"? Grove, OK library has them on microfilm. One I find particularly interesting is an interview with the sister-in-law of my great-grandfather. It is at this web site http://www.rootsweb.com/~okgenweb/pioneer/ohs/jonesjoanna.html. It tells how before the Indians started on the Trail of Tears, white people would come into the Indian's homes and take what they wanted since the Indians could take so little with them. Many other interviews tell of the hardships they faced. Fascinating reading. Many interviews have been transcribed and are on this web site. I love historical novels. Keep us informed as to when yours will be available. Mary Lou
