The Raniey Funeral Home reference states that Tennie's father was listed as R. L. Boyer. I have email correspondence with DeWanda Smith, the granddaughter of Effie Boyer. In her research she has the SS Application for Ida Boyer who married Harvest Christian and Ida lists her father as Henry Boyer and no name for her mother who died at child birth in 1888. Final, I have located on the Stoddard Co. 1880 census William Boyer, his wife Martha, and children including Andy, who Meryl Taylor identified as Tennie's brother. I can not find any reference to a Henry Boyer on this census. Also I have been unable to locate Henry Boyer on the 1900 census. The marriage license for Tennie and Ben Gillis states they were married at Mr. Bower, I assume residence. Could you help in any way to get information that will clear up the different events?
