Like you I have been tracing for Many years. In the end of 1997 when I first got a computer I had 18 years of info in Boxes. If you go the Rootsweb Archives http://archiver.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/search & click on Advanced then put in where it says From jandk@wnol.net List Newberry in one month Jan 1998 I did 275 emails Helping others This is just one of the surnames. I listed info. Along with When I buy Old books with info of Surnames (I'm not connected to I write or list that info for others hopeing to help them. If you said your line went to Smith Co Tn early 1800's Then you must be from Caty Hicks 1820 smith Co Tn listed as Casey 1830 Smith Co Tn line ? am I correct. Because My Line Nancy Ann Hicks (Listed as Ann Hicks 1820 Smith Co. Nancy 1830 Were the only 2 Hicks listed in Smith Co Tn then I always wondered if Caty/Casey were connected with my line, But then I thought in my records it said she came from NC. My John & Nancy married 1810 in Brunswick Co Va came to Smith Co Tn by 1816, John died before 1820 Smith Co Census. After the part of Smith Co became Dekalb Co My Hicks were there 1840-1850 Moved with a large wagon train to Madison Co Mo. I have over 18,000 names in my FTM I haven't Posted on gencom yet because I need to learn to do this without listing living relatives. And Yes I shouldn't rush Thinking someone is not from my line. Trust me I LOVE finding Dead or Alive Relatives I Love to share with others. Thank you Kathy Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
