The Clarence Hicks family I'm looking for was Clarence Hicks born 1893 I think Siketon, Scott Co Mo He and his wife with children were listed in the 1930 Stoddard Co Census with children CLara Hicks b abt 1919, Cletis Hicks b 1921, Lucille Hicks b 1924, Clearnce, Clarence Hicks b1926 & Loretta Hicks b 1929-30. A realive told me he had a son called Sonny Hicks & one called Cecil Pete Hicks. I have a Feeling (not sure, but think both of these names might have been Nicknames for the 2 son's. Sonny might be Clarence Jr. & Cecil Pete for Cletis or the census wrote down the wrong name. ***** Clarence Hicks b. 1893 Was the s/o Charles Louis Hicks b. Mar 1865 Ill, Charles was the s/o Mathew Monroe Hicks b. 1833 Smith Co Tn d. 1899 Madison Co Mo, Mathew M Hicks was the s/o Lewis/Louis P. Hicks b 1812 Brunswick Co Va d 1895 Madison Co Mo. L/L.P Hicks was the son of John Hicks b. abt 1776 Va d. between 1818 & by 1820 Smith Co Tn Census. I don't know if you know abt Ancient Faces But if not you should check out the Pictures there You might find someone connected to your line. Go to http://www.ancientfaces.com on the top right side, type in Hicks or whatever surname you would like to see. I have posted abunch of my Hicks pictures when ever you see posted by Kathy Newton thats me.
