Are there any records available of criminal trials in Stoddard County for 1903? My great-grandfather, Franklin Pierce FOSTER, shot Hardin JOHNSON, apparently in self-defense in 1903. According to the Vindicator, a trial was held in Sept 1903 in which he was acquitted. I would like to have more details than are available in the newspaper articles. Nancy
