Bud: I checked everything I have on your Hershel Davis and didn't find him. I did find in the history a H.A. Davis was on the church roll of members at Aid TWP In 1892, the Liberty Hill General Baptist Church was moved from 1/2 mile south of Aid to it's prresent location. It was organized in 1886. The first church roll members included the following names: John Miller, John Johnson, W.A. Johnson, Spence Woodmore, L.J. Henson, J.W. Woodard, G.W. Davis, Thomas Parks, T.N. Davis, James Brown, V. B. Parrish, J.M. Davis, J.H. Thomson, H.J. Rainey, J.S. Townsend, M.W. Proffer, H. A. Davis, M. Davison, John Mcrath, A. J. Sifford, W. J. Hopkins, S. Wood, J.A. Donison, T.C. Williams, C. Barham, and A. Estes.
