This is the obituary of my great grandmother. If there is anyone on this list that knew any of her descendants listed here, I'd love to hear from them. OBITUARY (2 Nov 1926; Bloomfield Vindicator) Our heavenly Father called from the home of Mr. John Riley, the beloved wife and mother, Mrs. Mary E. Riley. She was born July 5, 1860; departed this life October 26, 1926; age 66 years, 3 months and 21 days. She was married to John N. RILEY November 16, 1879, to this union was (sic) born nine children. Two preceded her in death. Seven are still living. They are Melvin RILEY, Minnie BBUSBY, Ivy CLODFELTER, are living near the home of the deceased; Dr. Ed RILEY, William R. RILEY, Jannie SCISM and Fred RILEY of Bakersfield, California. On account of sickness and other things it was not possible for the last four named to attend the funeral. Mrs. RILEY was a woman who was loved by all who knew her. She accepted Christ as her Savior and united with the M.E. church at an early age. Since then her life has been devoted to the Christ-like way. Her influence was for building up the Christian faith in her home and community as well as in the home where she was so highly held and loved. Funeral services were conducted at Fairview M. E. Church by Rev. Stanley in presence of many relatives and sorrowing friends. The body was laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery. To the bereaved husband and children the community extends its sympathy."
