    3. I found these in an online newspaper and thought maybe someone might be interested. The first and the last were born in SE Missouri. I believe the second one is related to the others but cannot figure the connection. Does anyone know? Phyllis The Flint Journal Flint, Michigan DUCKWORTH, Ross A., Jr. -Of Grand Blanc, (01/00/16) age 73, died Saturday, January 15, 2000 at Genesys Convalescent Center. Funeral service will be held at 1PM Tuesday, January 18, 2000 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to Lutheran Save A Child Foundation or Alzheimer's Foundation. Visitation 7-9PM Sunday and 10AM-3PM and 5-9PM Monday at the funeral home. A Masonic service will be held by Genesee Lodge No. 174, F.&A.M. at 5PM Monday at the funeral home. Mr. Duckworth was born in Parma, Missouri on May 10, 1926, the son of Ross and Edith Duckworth. He married Frances L. Stuart on August 30, 1946. He served in the U.S. Army Infantry during World War II. He was a member of Genesee Lodge No. 174, F.&A.M. and loved to golf. Mr. Duckworth was employed by General Motors Parts Division, Swartz Creek for 33 years, retiring in 1980. Surviving are wife, Frances; 4 children, Judy and husband Bud Christenson of Flint, Stuart of California, Vickie and husband Dave Rose and Gregory, all of Flint; 7 grandchildren, Chris and wife Jennifer Christenson, Deidre Christenson, Casey Duckworth, Michelle Mahalak, Natalie Rose, Trenton Duckworth and Kiel Duckworth; niece, Velma Duckworth; nephew, Roger and wife Fern Duckworth. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Dorothy Cooper. DUCKWORTH, Betty Jane (03/00/27) - Age 79, of Flint, died Saturday, March 25, 2000. A Memorial service will be held at 7PM Wednesday, March 29, 2000 at Brown Funeral Home, 1616 Davison Road with Pastor Roger Gedcke officiating. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 5:30PM until the time of service on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Benson House in Gaylord, MI. Mrs. Duckworth was born October 24, 1920. She worked as a secretary at St. Michael Catholic School in the mid 1960's. Surviving are: children: Sue Duckworth of Montrose, Jimi Carter of Montrose and David Duckworth of Flint; grandchildren, Aaron Begley, Kari Carter, James Ivan Duckworth, Eric Duckworth, Tara Duckworth and Kristin Duckworth; great-grandchildren, Kayla and Aaron Jr.; very dear friend, Dorothy Sills. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Duckworth. DUCKWORTH, Ola B. - Of Flint Township, (06/98/28) age 81, died Saturday, June 27, 1998 at Fenton Extended Care Center. Funeral service will be held at 1PM Tuesday, June 30, 1998 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Robert L. Dickie, II officiating. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation 4- 9PM Sunday and 1-4 and 6-9PM Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Duckworth was born in Kennett, Missouri on September 7, 1916 and was a resident of the Flint Township area since 1946, having come from Missouri. She was a former member of Rural General Baptist Church. Surviving are her daughter, Evelyn and husband Allen Reynolds of Boyne Falls, Michigan; son, Doyle and wife Anita Duckworth of Swartz Creek; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, John Burnett of Clio; 2 sisters, Ora Correll of Waynesville, Missouri and Velma Barker of Dexter, Missouri; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan, in 1984 and brother, Earnest, in 1997.
