Phyllis Flint Journal, Flint, Michigan DUCKWORTH, Ross A., Jr. -Of Grand Blanc, (01/00/16) age 73, died Saturday, January 15, 2000 at Genesys Convalescent Center. Funeral service will be held at 1PM Tuesday, January 18, 2000 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to Lutheran Save A Child Foundation or Alzheimer's Foundation. Visitation 7-9PM Sunday and 10AM-3PM and 5-9PM Monday at the funeral home. A Masonic service will be held by Genesee Lodge No. 174, F.&A.M. at 5PM Monday at the funeral home. Mr. Duckworth was born in Parma, Missouri on May 10, 1926, the son of Ross and Edith Duckworth. He married Frances L. Stuart on August 30, 1946. He served in the U.S. Army Infantry during World War II. He was a member of Genesee Lodge No. 174, F.&A.M. and loved to golf. Mr. Duckworth was employed by General Motors Parts Division, Swartz Creek for 33 years, retiring in 1980. Surviving are wife, Frances; 4 children, Judy and husband Bud Christenson of Flint, Stuart of California, Vickie and husband Dave Rose and Gregory, all of Flint; 7 grandchildren, Chris and wife Jennifer Christenson, Deidre Christenson, Casey Duckworth, Michelle Mahalak, Natalie Rose, Trenton Duckworth and Kiel Duckworth; niece, Velma Duckworth; nephew, Roger and wife Fern Duckworth. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Dorothy Cooper.
