I have the following: Cardinal M Stewart (b. Nov. 19, 1850; d. March 8, 1907) and Martha Elizabeth Cookston (Cookson) (b. June 17, 1853; d. April 3, 1907) were married Nov. 17, 1870 by Carroll Harty, Justice of the Peace and had eight children: Thomas A (b. 1873 - MO) Mary A (b. Nov 1874 - MO) James D. (b. 1877 - MO) Fannie L. (b. 1880 - MO) Cora (b. Aug 1883 - MO) Mattie (b. Feb 1886 - MO) Bertha (b. Nov. 1888 - MO) Robert C. (b. April 20, 1894 - MO) MARRIAGE INFO FOR THE CHILDREN: Thomas A. and Lucinda Johnson - Jan. 25, 1895 Mary A. and William Hatcher - Dec. 29, 1889 James D. and Delia Sisco (previously listed as Fiola...sorry) mariied Aug 8, 1897 Fannie L. and S.L. Harty married Jan. 1895. Mattie and Charles Manning (Bollinger Co.) Bertha possibly married an A. Williams?? still need more info. Robert C. died on Nov. 20, 1908 and is buried in Brown Church Cemetery in Stoddard Co., Missouri. I have more info than this but it's all on the computer and I'm typing this from the hard copies I have. Also, Martha Cookson was the daughter of Aaron "Cookston" Cookson and Mary Elizabeth Taylor. I have further information from collaboration with others that says Aaron "Cookston" Cookson is the son of Joseph Cookston and Christina Vandergriff, who was of Dutch descent. Cardinal's info is all on the computer and I will relay it as soon as possible. I have exact transcriptions on the marriage records (where they were married, who they married, who married them) for James, Mary, Fannie, and Thomas. If any one needs more info on the Mannings. They can contact me as well. Charles was the son of Lafayette Manning and Mariah Frances Sears and they lived in Bollinger Co. until somewhere before 1896 (their youngest was born in Arkansas). Mattie and Charles also lived in Arkansas in Jackson County, south of Newport (Cow Lake Township). I will post more as I have time...as I said, it's all in this computer and not on hard copies. Thanks! --Micah R. Allen-- great-great granddaughter of Mattie (Stewart) Manning. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
