Rosa's death certificate from the Missouri death certificate website shows she died In a nursing home, Joachim, Jefferson County, Missouri. ( Cert. 10355 ) and it does show she was born in Whittenburg, Mo. Watkin's Funeral Home besides telling me they didn't start keeping obit's until abt. 1960 also told me this (see below ) this is a copy and paste straight from their mail reply. ............. The infomation I do have is as follows. Adelia Rosa (Barber) Lane, born May 22, 1865 and died March 2, 1953. A J. B. Barber took care of the funeral expenses. Her parents were, John E. Barber born in North Carolina and Mary Elizabeth Slaughter Barber born in Louisville, KY. We had the cemetery down as the Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Hiram, MO. As far as my GGgrandfather that I can't find his death certificate shows his parents as John LANE and Elizabeth PERRYJIM from ILL. Other than that I only found in on census from 1900 -1930 in Cowan,Wayne Co, MO. Below is his obit and beside that and census that's all I have to go on. ;( P.S. On his son's WWI record it shows he thought his father was ( Maybe) from Stoddard Co,MO. So his didn't even know where he was from. Anyway see the obit below and thank you so much for your post back which I NEVER got a notice from rootsweb.com!!!!! I only seen it when I came back to this message board.
