James Dowdy 5 Jun 1861 (file 142) Stoddard Co, MO. Lidy Pety md. John A Montgomery 21 Sep 1873 (book 1 page 160) Stoddard Co, MO. Lidy Pety and John Montgomery had a daughter (that I know of) Dora I. Montgomery who married 1st - Marshall J. McFarlen/in/and, second her sister's widowed husband Alexander Lane, 3rd - Christopher Columbus Gillis. Watkins book 2 page 35 has parents of Dora I Gillis (1874-1941) were, Letia Jane Petty b. S C & Alexander Montgomery. I was wondering if Nancy & Lydia were sisters? Who is Francis Glover, possibly a grandson of James Dowdy? Does any one have information that could help me in my search?
