Hi Carrie; I have an Ezekial Wesley "Wes" Hall who married Nancy Angeline Tompkins. They married in Dunklin Co., around 1870. They had 4 children, Jennette "Nettie", John Westley, Samantha and Arazona. Ezekial was married before he married Nancy to a Harriet, last name unknown. Ezekial died around 18879-1880 in Dunklin Co. I am trying to find information on who Ezekial's parents are and what happened to John Westley and Samantha Hall. Let me know if any of these are familiar to you. James Gregory Sr. was born around 1795 in SC. It is thought that he married an Elizabeth Edwards in 1814 in IN and then to an "Unknown, maybe Sarah" Kitchen in IN. I would like to get confirmation on who he married and when if possible. James and wives had about 13 children. Some of this family are buried in Vincent Cemetery in Dunklin Co., they married into and are related to the Vincent, Bray, Tompkins, Creath, Leggitt, Lacy, Snider and Edwards families from Dunklin/Stoddard CO. The family moved to MO around 1841. I have been told that there are two Gregory families in this area of MO. I would like to find out if they are connected. And if there is any information on how they all connect. Thank you. Charlotte Christensen.

Vinson Community is located south of Essex in T24 R11. In the 1990's the old school building was still standing, and Vinson General Baptist Church still held services at that time. According to the old Stoddard Co. cemetery book which was published in 1972, the Cravins Cemetery was located in S9 T24 R11. It is now abandoned with no stones - someone apparently gave a list of the following burials to the cemetery book committee: John R. Romine, 1883-1899, s/o S.J. and Sisly; Cassia Swain, Jacob Swain, Sarah Margaret Cravins, Mary Elizabeth Cravins, John H. Cravins, Marrs infant, Nancy Jane Cravins, Wm. Johnson, Sarah J. Ramsey, Y.T. Moore, Farrell infant, and Benjamin P. Romine, d. 1872 age 6, s/o T. & R.A. (I can send the dates on the others if needed.) Is it possible the Cravins Cemetery was also known as Romines? There is also a Barker Cemetery in the area at S33 T24 R11. Samuel J. Romine, 1848-1914, is buried at Taylor Cemetery, located in S26 T25 R11, which is southeast of Essex. Hope this helps. -----Original Message----- From: mostodda-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:mostodda-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of mostodda-request@rootsweb.com Sent: Tuesday, January 09, 2007 12:00 AM To: mostodda@rootsweb.com Subject: MOSTODDA Digest, Vol 2, Issue 5 Today's Topics: Message: 2 Date: Tue, 09 Jan 2007 01:47:43 -0000 From: "gc-gateway@rootsweb.com" <gc-gateway@rootsweb.com> Subject: [STODDARD, MO] Vinson Community and Romines Cemetery To: <MOSTODDA-L@rootsweb.com> Message-ID: <1168307264.20700@rootsweb.com> Content-Type: text/plain; This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list.
