    1. [MOSTODDA-L] GenConnect boards
    2. Mary
    3. I have set the GenConnect boards on the Stoddard County web site, so the information placed there will also be posted to the mail list. This is an option made available to us the first of March. I am going to leave this final decision about this change up to the mail list. We will first see how much mail it generates in the mail box. For some of us it could be too much mail, if we don't check our mail box often. Or like myself, I received a LOT of mail already. What will happen now is as follows: any posting made to the GenConnect boards, will also show in our mail box. We will no longer need to check the GenConnect boards, as the information will come directly to us, through the mail, both questions and answers, as the answers come through. The Genconnect boards are not part of our regular queries, but a seperate direct posting to the web site. Later I will ask the mail list if they want to continue or remove this link from our mail list Mary Hudson [email protected] ô¿ô USGenWeb Counties I volunteer to CC Butler, Mississippi and Stoddard Missouri http://www.rootsweb.com/~mobutle2/index.html http://www.rootsweb.com/~momissis/ http://www.rootsweb.com/~mostodd2/index.html MY PROJECT Bye-Gone Towns http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~mahudson/bygone/by-gonecomstates.htm My Personal Web Site http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Pointe/3597

    1. [MOSTODDA-L] HALEY
    2. Phyllis Campbell
    3. PLEASE, if anyone knows ANYTHING about ANYONE listed in this obituary, please contact me. I believe this to be the son of ELIZA C. GATES HALEY and MIKE HALEY. If so, his sister would have been SARAH ELLEN HALEY MAULDING who also went by the name SARAH ELLEN BURNS before she was married. The half-brother would have been a BURNS and his father was EDWARD BURNS. The half brother’s name may have been EDD/EDWARD or C. C. (the initails are all I have). The Fayette, Idaho is probably Payette, Idaho. 9-26-1941 JOHN J. HALEY (Should be JOHN H. HALEY) JOHN J. HALEY-born in Hamilton County, Illinois on 10-28-1855 and died 9-12-1941 at home, west of Bloomfield, Missouri. He was 81 years, 10 months and 12 days. First married to MARIAN FRANCES GARRETT in 1883 and had 8 children. Two sons and mother preceded him in death. Surviving are ERNEST of Omaha, FRED of Dayton, Texas, JOHN of Macksville, Kansas, JAMES of St. Joseph, Missouri, EVERETT of Redding, California, Mrs. ALICE RUNYON of Albany, Missouri. He married MARTHA MC CARROLL in 1903 and had two children. Son, Ben died and surviving is Mrs. NELSON MC REE of Fayette, Idaho. He also leaves a 1/2 brother. Burial in (West) Antioch Cemetery. >From unknown Dexter, Missouri newspaper.

    3. Thanks Mary and Connie for the great site. It has helped me a lot in my Stoddard Co. ancestors. Although I live in St. Louis and have access to Mo. records, I still enjoy checking the site. Mary, you must live in Rolla. Great town - was our home away from home while our son went to UMR and played hoops for the Miners. Keep up the good work. Betty Kokal

    3. I undertook the Stoddard county web site ONE YEAR ago April 1999. Since that time we have had 13926 visitors to the MOGenWeb Stoddard County web site. Quite an impressive number. If another 74 open this page before the first of April 2000 we will have had 14,000. HUM WONDER ABOUT THAT NUMBER, What have we left about 24 hours. She must work on it every spare minute The url for the wills is http://www.rootsweb.com/~mostodd2/wills/will-indx.html Thanks again for visiting this web site. Is it an index or is it a transcription of the actual Federal census? If it is the actual census, how would I go about ordering a copy? Thanks in advance. Nancy
