Is there anyone who can tell me anything about Hills Store? It was in Stoddard County, Missouri on 153 between Marco and Maulsby. It was about 17 miles from Dexter and it was about 20 miles from Sikeston. There was a bar, store or restaurant there in the 40s and maybe before. This establishment was named Hills Store and the town was probably named for it. I believe the original owners were named Hill, NO s. I would like to know who these HILLs were and anything I can find out about the town or the establishment. There was also an owner of the establishment by the name of Herbert Culbertson. Mr. Culbertson lived in Parma, Missouri when he died in Sikeston in 1987 at the age of 81. He is buried in the Dexter Cemetery. He was married to a Mary Josephine Ake. Nancy: North Antioch Cemetery directions: From Bloomfield, travel north on Highway 25, to Highway AA. Turn west and travel 1/4 mile to highway AC. Travel 1 mile west to County Road 223. Turn north and travel 1.1 miles. North Antioch Cemetery is on the right. I don't know anything about the Davis Cemetery, it could be under another name. Melba

I will be traveling in Missouri in the next couple weeks and am planning on making a stop in Bloomfield for researching. I will, of course, be spending time in the courthouse, but I am also interested in looking through the newspapers. Joe Brown has sent me several copies of articles run in the Vindicator and I would like to look through the actual papers myself. Where would I be able to look at these old papers if they are available? Does anyone know what years are available, if any? (My "family" has been in the area since about 1815, possibly earlier, up through the present time.) If possible, I would also like to find a couple of cemeteries: Davis and (North) Antioch. I believe these are the correct names. Does anyone know if these still exist, in some form, and how to get to each of them? Any help would be appreciated. Nancy
