    3. http://www.yahoo.com, Click on this and in the search window type online+newspapers. The item at the top, where it says NEWSPAPERS ONLINE is where I found these newspapers. I just found this newspaper site yesterday. I heard that someone I knew had died in Arkansas and she was a distant cousin and I wanted the obit and I found it. I bookmarked the sites. You can find lots of things with this YAHOO URL. Under the search window you will see more search engines, try them too. When I am looking for something I type the plus sign between the words and it narrows down the search. Like Stoddard+County+Missouri. Like pineapple+cheesecake. Like George+Washington. I have found biographies, recipes, and many, many things on this site. http://fl.mlive.com/obits/index.ssf Click on this to go right to the Flint Journal for obits. You can find older ones back to 1997 just by typing in the surname. Now I know I will not be able to get into this site today because it will be sooooo busy. :-) Phyllis ----- Original Message ----- From: Mona Hagy-Rose <[email protected]> To: Phyllis Campbell <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, June 25, 2000 9:34 AM Subject: RE: [MOSTODDA-L] DUCKWORTH OBITS > Phyllis > > could you give me the site address for this online newspaper? > > Thanks > > Mona > > > -----Original Message----- > > From: Phyllis Campbell [mailto:[email protected]] > > Sent: Sunday, June 25, 2000 12:01 AM > > To: [email protected] > > Subject: [MOSTODDA-L] DUCKWORTH OBITS > > > > > > I found these in an online newspaper and thought maybe someone > > might be interested. 3. I have newspaper article dtd 1901 re my Grgrandfather Benjamin Teets life. In the article he tells of living in Stoddard Co. Mo before and during cival war. He was for the Union which didn't go over well with his neighbors. He owned a large farm there but was run out. He also mentions that his dtr a Mrs Biddle and her husband were boarding with a Mr Penny where her husband was doing some building. Have often wondered if that was JC Penny. The article is long and tells of his escape and what all he went thru to get away. Can't find him in any Stoddard records. Would appreciate any help. 1. [MOSTODDA-L] Christopher C. Parke
    2. Dear Listmembers, I am trying to locate anyone with information on Christopher C. Parke (or Parks) of Stoddard County, MO and his family. My great grandfather Roy Sherry was listed as his nephew in the 1900 Census and I have guardian settlement records beginning about 1891 in Stoddard. From what I've pieced to gether this family was living in Allen County, KY in 1880 and moved to Stoddard by 1890. In 1903 my great grandfather married and settled in Jackson County, AR. The wife of Christopher Parke was buried in Jackson County, AR in 1907. I have not been able to find a burial record for Christopher Park in MO or AR. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Karen Hughes [email protected] Researching: CULLINS/ELMS/LOCKWOOD/PHOEBUS/SHERRY/WHEELER /WRIGHT
