    3. Jefferson Co. AL & Stoddard Co. Mo. lists, I am looking for census information on William Hiram Brown who lived in Jefferson Co. Al until he moved with his family to Stoddard Co. Mo. He had one son born in Birmingham, Al area in 1868. The family moved while this son (William Thomas Brown) was young. William Hiram Brown was married to Mattie Elizabeth. They also had two girls Rebecca Brown and Sally Brown, I do not know when or where they were born. They must have moved with the family because both married men from Stoddard county. I have looked for census data but I have not been able to find any data on them. All help is apprecieated. Always searching Dennis Allen

    3. BLACK, W.R. BLANKENSHIP, Fances BRANNOCK, Milton W. DIMMITT, Martha HANSEN, Christian HANSEN, Eggardine HILL, Thomas Jefferson MILLEN, James H. MOGebWeb Site These are the last of the Will Records from my microfilm. There were over 580 and it took 10 months. I would like thank Mary Hudson for teaching me how to write them to the internet and a thank you to those of you who have told me how much they have helped you. I would especially like to thank those of you who have helped me by correcting my mistakes. I can certainly have empathy for those Probate Clerks who I'm sure in when these records started in the 1850's were writing by candle or kerosene lamp using pen and ink well, by the time the will book ended in 1923 they probably had electric lights and were typing them. It has been a very interesting look at life in Stoddard County, I would urge you all to take a random look at some of the wills. In the earily wills people were worried about Dower rights and who got the kitchan utensils, they talk about everything right up to the last wills where they worried about the insurance money and who would get the car. I am glad to have had this oppertunity, I have learned a lot from it. Connie Perkins
