Tracey, did they ever 'americanize' their surname? In my old german home town, we had families named 'Dorn', I never researched them, so wonder if they dropped part of the name etc. None of your names ring a bell with me, but it is just a thought. My German Catholic ancestors come via New Orleans and I think some came on the Breman too. Many of mine came from the same area of Germany/Prussia too.
