Madehlinne, I've been reading your postings on this New Orleans/St. Louis connection issue. I believe most of my German farming folks took the boat up the Mississippi too. (I don't have Ancestry or other subscription services .) I was just about to begin my New Orleans research when Katrina hit, so put it off, for obvious reasons. Can you please direct me to resources you know about for the next phase, the New Orleans part of my genealogical scramble?
