Hi Wanda Closest might be what was the Orphan's Asylum originally known as StL Protestant's Orphanage Asylum, then the, StL Association of Ladies for the Relief of Orphan Children. Later it was known as simply The Protestant's Orphan Home and finally the Edgewood Children's home. Not sure which of the final two names would have been used in the 40's.
